How the Playground works

Create and edit custom question sets with manual entry, AI or CSV, then find them in your session. Includes supported games and current limits.

The Playground is where signed-in hosts create reusable question sets for Neegma games. You choose the content; the selected game's rules and scoring stay the same.

A custom game holds questions for one game type. To combine several games into a session, use a session template.

Create a custom game

  1. Open Playground in your dashboard and select Create Custom Game.
  2. Choose a Game Type, then select Next.
  3. Enter a title. You can also add a description and choose a category.
  4. On Questions, use the Add questions tabs: Type manually, Use AI or Upload CSV.
  5. Review your question list, then select Create Game. The button shows how many questions you are saving.

You can mix all three sources. Adding another batch appends to the list without replacing the questions already there.

What each game needs

GameContent to provide
TriviaA question, its answer and an answer format: single choice, multiple choice or text. Add options for choice questions.
UnscrambleScrambled letters, the correct word or phrase, and a hint.
Missing LetterA word or phrase with underscores for blanks, the missing letters in order, and a hint.
Odd One OutFour options, the one that does not belong, and a hint.
Sub-WordsA main word and the full list of smaller words you want to accept.
CharadesWords or short phrases for players to act out.
TabooA word and exactly five forbidden words.
Find the MoleA word and its category. Use consistent category names across the set.
Song AssociationWords that players can find in song lyrics.
Who Said ItPrompts for players to answer about themselves during the game. No preset answer is needed.

Use AI supports nine of these games. Who Said It uses manual entry or CSV. See Generate questions with AI for the workflow and credits.

Add and edit questions

In Type manually, complete the required fields and select Add question. Use More options for any optional hint, category or difficulty fields available for that game. Errors appear next to the field that needs attention.

For an existing question, select its pencil icon, make the correction and select Save changes. Use the delete icon to remove a question. A search box appears once your set has more than eight questions.

In a new game's creation flow, these changes update your draft until you select Create Game. When editing an existing game, adding, editing or deleting questions saves those changes individually. Changes to the set's title, description or category use the separate Save Changes button.

Select Preview on a saved set to review its questions before the event. Finish content edits before starting a live game.

For bulk entry, follow Import questions from CSV.

Play your custom set

Start a session while signed in to the account that owns the set. In the game picker, find the card with your custom set's title and select it. Custom sets appear alongside Neegma's games.

A set must be active and contain at least five questions or prompts to appear as playable. Trivia needs a custom set; it does not have a default question pool. If you started from a session template, the picker follows that template's included games.

Limits and missing sets

Each custom game can contain up to 200 questions. You can save a smaller draft, but it needs five questions before you can play it.

Your Playground shows the allowance for your account. See pricing for plan details.

If a set is missing from the game picker, check its question count and status. Select Activate on its Playground card if it is inactive. Deactivate hides a set from hosting while keeping it in your library. Also check that the session's player or team mode supports the chosen game.
