Create and use session templates

Save a reusable game selection, choose a session flow, include custom questions and decide which settings to pin before starting a session from a template.

A session template saves a selection of games, their settings and how you move between them. You can reuse it whenever you host, instead of rebuilding the same running order.

Templates are available to signed-in hosts, including Free accounts. A Playground custom game holds questions for one game; a template can bring several games and question sets together.

Start a session from a template

Open Templates in your dashboard.
Choose one of your templates or a template from Choose from Our Library. Open it to review the games and settings.
Select Start a session.
Complete the session setup and invite your players. The template's games and session flow will be ready when you start.

You can also browse public templates. Review any purchase requirements on the template's page before starting.

Create your own template

In your dashboard's Templates page, select Create Template.
On Details, enter a title and choose a Session flow. Add an optional description and up to three categories.
On Games, select the games or custom question sets you want to include. Open a selected game's settings to configure the options available for it.
For a Playlist, use the move controls to put the games in the order you want to play them.
Select Create & Continue. On Cover, optionally upload an image, then select Finish.

For example, a team social could start with Missing Letter, continue with a custom Trivia set and finish with Charades. Save those three games as a Playlist to keep that order ready for the next event.

Choose the session flow

Flow	What happens when you host
Open Selection	Choose freely from the games included in the template.
Locked Single	Play one game. You can replay it, but cannot switch to another game.
Playlist	Play the included games in order, using Next Game after each one.
Auto-Start	The first game starts automatically after the lobby; you can then choose from the template's other games.

When a Playlist finishes, Pick another game lets you choose or replay games from that template. It does not add the rest of the game library to the session.

Save settings or choose them when hosting

For games with configurable settings, choose:

Pin these settings to save options such as round count, countdown or difficulty with the template.
Let the host choose to configure the game when it starts.

The options depend on the game. Some games have no settings to pin.

Your own custom sets appear under their game type in the builder. A set needs at least five questions or prompts and must be active. Trivia requires a question set, so select your own Trivia set or an available Neegma set.

Edit and reuse a template

Open a template you own and select Edit to change its details, games or settings, then select Save Changes. Use Start a session again whenever you want to run it with a new group.

Your account's plan determines how many templates you can create. Free accounts can create up to five; see pricing for the other plans. Templates save the game setup; the host's player allowance still applies to each session.

Use Neegma sets and purchased templates

Shared Neegma question sets are available in the Playground. Open a set to see its five-question sample, then use it in a template. These shared sets are read-only: you can reuse them, but cannot edit them or include them in a template you sell.

A purchased template stays in your library for repeat use. It does not expire when a hosting plan ends. Each new paid template purchase also includes a player boost you can apply to one session. The boost and the reusable template are separate benefits.

If an option is missing

There is no Edit button: Neegma library templates and purchased templates are not your editable copies. Templates listed for sale may also have editing restrictions.
You cannot add a second game: check whether the flow is Locked Single.
A custom set is missing: check its active status and question count in the Playground, and make sure you are signed in to the account that owns it.
You cannot choose another game during play: check the template's flow. A Playlist follows its order, while Locked Single keeps the session on one game.
