How to create a session
Create a lobby, invite players by link or QR code, choose games and understand guest hosting, session capacity and Free plan limits.
Join with a name, return to your original tab, and resolve a taken name, missing question, full session or connection problem.
You do not need a Neegma account to join as a player. Ask the host for the player link, or scan the QR code on the lobby screen.
Each player should join separately, including teammates. Your phone may show a private word or role, so do not share its screen with the group unless the game asks you to.
Return to the same browser tab on the same device first. Give the connection a moment to recover. If the join screen offers Rejoin, use it to return under your previous name.
Your saved join identity belongs to that browser tab and can expire. Moving to a different browser or device, closing private browsing, or clearing browser data can remove it.
If you already joined, return to the original tab and use Rejoin when available. Typing the same name into a new device does not prove it is the same player.
If another person has the name, add something recognisable, such as a surname initial. If your original tab is unavailable and your name remains reserved, let the host know before joining with another name; a new name may be treated as a new participant.
Hosts should not reset the whole roster to fix one player's connection. Reset Players clears everyone's name claims and makes the whole group join again.
Late arrivals can join the session, but the next playable moment depends on the game. A quiz may still accept an answer during its timer; a game with dealt roles may need a new round or game. Ask the host what is happening before repeatedly leaving and joining.
The host controls capacity and whether play continues. If you see a capacity or expiry message, ask them to check the lobby and their plan. Retrying under new names will not increase the session limit.
Tell the host the exact message and whether other players are affected. If needed, contact support with the device, browser, and steps that failed. See browser and device guidance for more connection checks.
